Off Center is a ceramics space built for process over perfection. Part studio, part community hub, it’s a place where makers of all levels can explore clay without pressure. Here, centering on the wheel is just one way forward—wandering off it is welcome, too. Across multiple floors, you’ll find room for throwing, handbuilding, glazing, and simply being in good company.
We offer pottery classes for beginners, memberships for regular makers, and a welcoming space for creative play.

Off Center was founded in 2025 by Moses Starr from NY based ceramic studio, Moklé Studio as a response to the need for something slower, smaller, and more intentional. Our space is built around the idea that you don’t have to be perfect—or even good—to begin. You just have to show up.
We believe in the power of creative community, the beauty of wobble, and the ritual of working with your hands. Our studio is structured but forgiving. Encouraging but unfussy. A place for beginners to surprise themselves—and for regulars to stay curious.
